Located in the heart of Fillmore County in South East
MN, Rein Angus Farm has been providing quality angus
genetics to customers for the past 47 years! With the
purchase of four Angus heifers from Cambell Bros. by
Gordon Rein in 1961, a family tradition of raising
registered Angus cattle was developed. The nucleus for
this herd was expanded the following year, with
additional purchases from the Sunnyslope and Viewlawn
Angus operations. The Rein family joined the American
Angus Association in 1963, and five years later started
with Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR). Today John
Rein and his family carry on the traditions and values
of angus heritage!
For the past 30 years, Rein Angus Farm has utilized A.I.
to incorporate superior genetics, in conjunction with
owning A.I. caliber herd sires for natural service.
Since 1981, the herd has been recognized by having cows
placed on the elite Pathfinder Report, of which there
are numerous. Many of the herd's females trace lineage
back to Rein's Ennella of Cress 67 who lived to be 20
years old, and produced several females that are still
in the herd. Today, Rein Angus Farm totals about
50 registered females and annually sells about 25 bulls
as yearlings or two-year olds.
